Important Information regarding Class 1a and / or Approved Builds:
Class 1a Costs
For our Class 1a upgrade costs, these depend on the actual unit size chosen and the relevant BAL rating (bush fire attack level) in your area. The costs vary between $12,950 – $21,950 (+gst) and are non-site-specific. For any site-specific additional requirements, these will be at an extra cost. Sometimes there are no changes required, sometimes there are some – it all depends on the location you plan to install the unit and your local Council rules / regulations. Please Note – the costs for a Class 1a upgraded build are additional to the standard base prices shown
Council Permits / Approvals
The costs for the Council permits / approvals are not something we offer ourselves. This is done through independent Building Consultants who are the experts in that field. Their costs will vary anywhere from $5000 – $35,000 depending on what they need to do for you and how complex your site is. For anyone wishing to gain Council approval for their project, we highly recommend using an independent Building Consultant! They know all the rules / regulations and will be able to generate the correct documents to make gaining approval much easier! Transport
Transport is done by independent freight companies. They will be able to provide you with a quote once you have decided on the actual unit size. Please Note – the cheapest size to transport long distance are our 3.4m wide units, as this keeps the overall width under the 3.5m threshold and is then classed as an “oversize” load. No special requirements are needed to transport a unit this size. For anything over 3.5m this then requires road escorts, either 1 or 2 depending on the particular State/s and their local road regulations. Each State around Australia vary on their compliance regulations. The freight companies are the experts and will be able to provide a quote for the cost of transport (plus crane if required).
