Portables

All plumbing is fully Australian compliant and completed to an outside wall. Instant gas or electric hot water systems are optional. Water connection by garden hose, it’s that easy!
Wastes are completed to the exterior wall to ensure easy and quick connection on site. Toilet options include conventional ceramic styles or for limited use a cassette toilet may be considered. Composting toilets vary considerably in size and effectiveness so we suggest customers choose a suitable unit and supply the system of their choice for us to install.

All of our portables are finished in durable Australian Colorbond steel. Colorbond steel is one of the most durable materials for buildings of all types and has been used extensively throughout Australia for decades. The standard exterior colour is Colorbond Surfmist. This is matched with fascia and flashings in the colour of your choice. Most Colorbond colours are available so you can tailor the look of your unit to your specific site. A premium panel is available on all units that features a textured finish. We have examples for you to look at, please ask.

The internal finish of our Custom Portables is Surfmist Colorbond. This provides a neutral, durable and maintenance free interior finish that can handle anything. The interior colorbond surface contains a unique antibacterial technology that actively helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination and inhibits growth of surface bacteria that may cause potential odours, stains, food poisoning and allergies. The floor is covered in a heavy-duty wood grain vinyl in a choice of colours.

The chassis’s we make provide the backbone for our super strong units. All of our Ryebucks Portables are built on a massive welded steel chassis. The configuration of the chassis will depend on the size of the unit. This is what enables our units to sit directly on simple but secure level pads without the need for a costly concrete foundation (unless stipulated by your Council). All of our units can be craned into position or mounted on elevated supports for sloping sites. The robust chassis design ensures transport is simplified. Most often a common tilt tray truck is used with the units able to be quickly and efficiently dropped onto your site. 

As we custom build each unit to your requirements we can include all manner of fixtures to assist people with special needs. These include larger openings for wheelchair access, larger bathrooms including AS1428.1 compliant, strategically placed hand/grab rails etc. Talk to us about your specific needs and we can include them in your portable.

All Ryebucks Portables are constructed to ensure complete mobility irrespective of the frequency or destination.  Ryebucks Portables have been freighted to all manner of destinations throughout eastern Australia including Tasmania and King Island. Most commonly a tilt-tray truck is used with a super-tilt employed for very large units. We have a list of suggested competent  transport contractors familiar with our units that will deliver your unit directly to your site. All of our portables can be craned into position. Standard freight costs apply which will depend on the size of the unit, distance and site access. A quick phone call will give you an indication.
